With you, my boundless sentiment did depart,
My soul, in search of you, takes flight,
Yet it only finds a lamenting heart,
Or tears behind a door, longing for your light.
My laughter too, became entwined with thee,
In autumn afternoons of vivid hue,
With myriad colors and gentle glee,
From my still-starlit soul, so true.
To your form, they too were tied,
The thousand springs, in rosy attire,
They embraced a storm, love could not hide,
Leaving tears upon the hill, like a fire.
They traversed the summer's blazing sun,
The twinkle in your weary eyes,
Entrusting your soul to mine, as one,
While my memories in their chains arise.
The light of a beautiful winter shall return,
In the cold corner of my space to glow,
Where your soul, once hesitant, will discern,
The path that leads it back to the afterglow.
